They are certainly inspiring. Chrissie Wellington– thanks for being such an inspiration! Such a lovely person, too, with a wonderful attitude to life. There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Or maybe she won?

I don’t know much about the world of triathlon fans but were they really dying to know about her romance with fellow triathlete Tom Lowe? Even if you aren’t a world champion, the sport of triathlon changes you and shows you you’re made of much more than you ever thought you were, and this brings further inspiration to yourself and others.

I would’ve liked to see more on training plans, nutrition, recovery and so on; but overall this was a good read. She went on to improve this time by another minute in the race. What pushes her is the central struggle of this book.

Sounded very interesting, so I bought it right away. I admit, some parts of the book made me uncomfortable – because Cjrissie saw many similar wellinbton traits within me and I wasn’t sure I liked all of them.

So, whatever you do, give your everything and smile: I didn’t find her story to be as compelling as it should be, we get hardly any insight into her thought process during rough patches in her time as a triathlete.
