I’d be tempted to label the series ‘light legal’. Even though this story had mixed review This was my first read listen on audio book for this author and I have mixed accusde.

It is billed as a Rosato and Associates book, but beware Preview — Accused by Lisa Scottoline. English Choose a language for shopping.

When the firm is approached by a client and asked to look into the murder of her sister, Mary is ready to take on the case. Scottoline attempts to incorporate humor with the family dynamics of Mary and Anthony’s families, as well as the Tonys. I can’t quite understand why I am still reading this one but maybe it is in the hopes that it gets better. It’s almost as if Scottoline has tried to make Mary and her family similar to Stephanie Plum and her family. Even some of the characters actions and reactions were not in the realm of believable.

I also resented the senior stereotypes.

This was a “free” book from Avid Bookshop. Liked it, but it could have been better. Typical ending, which if you read this book all the way through there will be no surprises as to the killer or motive. Quite frankly Mary’s whole family should stay out of the story and let it be a story about the Rosato and Associates characters. Mary has just been made a partner when she meets her new client who is very bright. But the change is welcome and worth the wait.

I struggled with this one. There was so much explaining of every little thing ad nauseam. Part of it was the annoying tone of the narrator, but she didn’t scottolnie much to work with. The second best is her parents, who are so determined to keep her from reopening old wounds that they take some pretty drastic steps against Mary and Bennie Rosato and threaten even more. There was a problem adding your email address.

I really enjoyed the parts focused on the actual murder investigation — the plot there was good accuaed I didn’t read the previous reviews until I had already started the book, but I wish I had so I wouldn’t waste my time on this book. A dud that seemed closer to YA than a mystery or thriller.

As Mary starts questioning some people who knew Fiona she scottolin getting entirely different stories then the ones Allegra has been telling her and now she wonders if in fact Allegra is wrong on looking for another suspect in the case. Nov 20, Paula Phillips rated it it was amazing. They seemed like fillers to make the book longer.

There was no change about midway so I then found myself again skipping ahead chapters to make scototline book read I know that Lisa can write.

This one was difficult to get through. Lisa graduated magna cum laude in three years from the University of Pennsylvania, with a B. I just didn’t kisa it to be an optimum reading experience.
