I, on the other hand, enjoyed both the characters and the plot first time round, although revisiting it more recently thought the apearance of Eddie was a bit naff. My younger self would have rated this book four stars, so I’ll need to do a reread sometime, to see if my older self agrees; if not, I’ll change my rating. This tale is a very non politically correct sort of farce. Other books in the series. Lord Iffy Boatrace is a penniless aristotic crossdresser who has fallen on hard times and needs an idea but bring the cash back in Shopbop Designer Fashion Brands. Dickinson has a very competent style and if you come across a copy you probably will not avventures disappointed.

Loord is a sequel, but I think I’ll give it another 26 years before seeking it out. I don’t remember much about it now; except how insanely funny it was.

Entertaining if somewhat farcical plot. Brandon rated it liked it Dec 26, However saying that my partner has read all Tom Sharp’s work and did not like this one bit, finding it pureile and unncessary. Surely a novel penned by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson must be worth a look, right? Djckinson manic-paced, audaciously lusty and zany-literate sex romp is one of the funniest books I’ve ever read; there are so many off-color quotable lines that I was laughing at pretty much every page of this page novel.

No surprises there, I guess. I suspect it’s out of print now I found my copy amongst some Children’s books in a local charity shop which is the most ill advised place to place it given it that it is partly a sex romp and nudity and bodily fuction is where it derives much of it’s humour!!.

In truth being aware of Bruce Dickinson being a great all rounder maybe I expected more from him than this romp and in honesty I feel he may have a great book within him
