Definitely an eye opener for how a web team operates. Definitely a good book for those beginning with web design. The best guide to understand CSS3! Do you want to build web pages, but have no previous experience? A good introductory text.


Learning Web Design, 5th Edition – O’Reilly Media

I don’t believe something can be learned from the books, you need to do something from the start one. Reading the book alone is not enough. I know it was just supposed to be a brief glimpse into Javascript, but it felt rushed and out of place.

Just touches on Jscript – not a book for that. Excellent root primer, very breezy delivery for complex device and display strategy Good delivery “voice” denotes a very logical pitch to share bona fide expertise with audience. It has been a few years actually since I read it but I can say that it is really good, at least for the audience it is meant for.

This may be good for complete beginners who want to know the background, history, and rational I learned HTML in the 90s with a Visual Quickstart Guide, which helps you learn by doing, usually with easy and illustrated step-by-step exercises.

I also learned CSS a little bit later in the same way. Surprisingly funny – her silly jokes really keep it a light and interesting read.

The author intended to graphically show her ideas, to show how to implement them and she did it successfully. But I learned a lot of this book, and I revised a lot of things that I have forgotten by time. With a pen and a piece of paper, answering these tests means that you are done learning the theoretical part of this chapter.
